Micellar Lifting (DMAE)

We thought we have heard it all as far as reversing signs of aging is concerned. Then comes an active ingredient that is showing astonishing results: immediate firming and lifting effects and wrinkles smoothed out in a matter of minutes. That's Dimethylaminoethanol or DMAE for you, the anti-aging active that delivers all the things we have wished for in an anti-aging active and fast action at that.

What is DMAE?

DMAE is a relatively new cosmetic ingredient that has been attracting attention due to its skin firming and anti-wrinkle properties. It has the ability to promote fast improvement of aged skin appearance, promoting glow, softness, reduction of expression lines and flaccidity, lifting effect of facial skin and reduction of wrinkles, especially around the periocular area, as well as dark circles. DMAE is currently gaining grand popularity as an anti-aging active in cosmetic products due to its activity as acetylcholine precursor.

Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter related to the muscle contraction system. Along with natural aging, the amount of acetylcholine and its effect in the muscle decreases, leading to flaccidity.. DMAE acts by increasing the synthesis of acetylcholine in the nervous system as well as in the dermis: fibroblasts, melanocytes, keratinocytes. The increase of acetylcholine results in a delay of the natural aging and consequently, in the reduction of flaccidity.

Introducing Micellar Lifting

Micellar Lifting is dimethylaminoethanol tartrate encapsulated in polymeric micelles. The reduced size of the polymeric micelles of Micellar Lifting in the range of 10 to 0 nm allows better skin penetration in addition to a gradual release of the active ingredient, prolonging the effect of the product. The encapsulation also increases the stability of the active ingredient.

Micellar Lifting has been clinically tested for its dermatological acceptability and objective efficacy.

We also conducted a series of in-house trials using a gel serum formulation containing 10% Micellar Lifting. Results were evaluated after 10 minutes.
