Dr. Arunasiri Iddamalgoda, Director of Research and Development of Ichimaru, Japan, together with Mr. Takeshi Tsukuwaki, sales representative to the Philippines, came to Manila for a 2-day visit. It was the first for Dr. Arunasiri and Actichem was delighted to welcome them. It was rather unusual for a February visit but they wanted to honor Actichem for being no. 1 in sales in 2015.
The first leg of their itinerary was a visit to IRRI (International Rice Research Institute) in UP Los Banos, Laguna. It was a personal visit by Dr. Arunasiri to his friend who is the head of IRRI. Later in the evening, together with Actichem staff, they met up with Dr. Alvin Matulac of ARM Skin for a dinner meeting. New project developments and actives were discussed extensively. It was rather a productive evening.
On their second and last day, they visited Splash, Brand Concept, Skin Perfect and KMI Cosmetics. Dr. Arunasiri presented PrincessCare (geranium extract), Neem Leaf, Clair Blanche II, CurePassion (passionfruit extract), Acne Busters, and other active ingredients that the clients wanted to discuss with him.
Highlights of the visit:
Dinner meeting with Dr. Alvin Matulac at Sambokojin Restaurant in Quezon City. His new pet projects were discussed with Dr. Arunasiri, most of them using Ichimaru’s latest active ingredients.

It was an honor to welcome to our country the R&D Head of our no. 1 supplier Ichimaru Pharcos, Japan. The clients that were visited by Dr. Arunasiri benefited much from the detailed discussions and questions were answered to the satisfaction of both owners and their R&D staff.
